"When Will..."
How long has it been since you went away? When will you finally come here to stay? When you left me many years ago I thought I would soon also go. But you have gone away from sight, Not returning, day or night. When, O Lord, will you call us up To the heavenly skies which you built up? When will we see the gates open wide, Letting all people, dead and alive, inside? When will the trumpets shout their glorious blare, While angels and humans both do stare? When will we see our Father in heaven, His glorious light flowing o'er field and glen? When will the earth gain her judgment, When all people have is a past and a present? When will you reign for ten thousand years, Keeping your children from pain and from tears? When, O Lord, will you rain down your light? Show us your power; show us your might! The end may be near, no one knows for certain, But one thing is for sure: It will, soon, happen!
