FREEDOM OF INDEPENDENCE
The year was seventeen seventy five The War of Independence was alive An unordered shot round the world was heard And then Revolutionary War occurred. ~ The first major fight was at Bunker Hill About four hundred Americans killed Over half of the British force was lost They took the hill, but oh at what a cost. ~ America offered an olive branch At this petition, King George would not glance Thinking this open rebellion he’d crush, But for freedom, Rebels onward would rush. ~ The final battle was in eighty two Bringing Independence to me and you. By the year of seventeen eighty three, Revolutionary War had set us free. Monty
