Accepting What You Cant Change

Too much has been done,to many harsh words said,
after 20 years of marriage,I guess a divorce is what I dread.
I thought if you came home we could start fresh and new,
but its like you said before,you dont love me like you used to.
I guess I had hoped our love was the one thing that was strong,
but now I see once again I was wrong.

I hoped and I prayed for you to return,
but you really dont love me is all I have learned.
So now you get what you wanted you can turn and walk away,
Now I realize its over and Im not begging you to stay.
