Boom crackle pop Late into the night Giving not a thought To those it gives a fright Colors paint the sky Noises overhead Confusion evermore For those with fireworks dread Boom crackle pop Celebrations days on end Giving not a thought To those we call best friend Horses, dogs and cats Friends to us each and all Are often frightend nightly When fireworks from the sky fall Terrified and confused Running away to escape the fright Sometimes even injured Trying to escape the bright light Protect your friends from danger Guard them in the night Help to lesson the confusion Please do what is right Exercise caution and precaution When with fireworks you play Make sure that ALL your loved ones Are safe this 4th of July day -June 25, 2006- Copyright ©2006 Jenny Marie Stites
