In the beginning was the Word,

Splitting primordial silence,
the Big Bang announced,
I bounce,
you bounce,
they bounce,
we bounce.


Space ripped in two, female and male,
in the afterglow,
streaming protons and electrons,
in a cosmic flow.
I bounce,

we bounce.


Creation and dissolution
for fourteen billion years,
unfolding infinite cycles
say mystics and seers.
I bounce,
you bounce,
they bounce,
we bounce.


My own soft animal body,
brain, belly, and heart,
clinging to the dark energy,
of wounded, fractured parts.
I bounce,
you bounce,
they bounce,
we bounce.


Economies rise, nations fall,
an endless spinning game,
slowing for a nanosecond
we see it's all the same.
I bounce,
you bounce,
they bounce,
we bounce.
