"I wish I may, I wish I might...."
Begins the prayer I weep tonight Uttered words and heartached will All amidst my prayer so still Forgiveness, blessing, keep and guide Typical prayer suicide And after that begins the start Of true prayer prayed within the heart For all those near and all those far Gazing on the widowed star For one life lost not long ago Another leaving come dawn's glow For anguished hearts in rooms next door The souls lost with no hope for more And finally begins the start Of true prayer prayed within MY heart One more prayer of hope so far One more wish upon a star
