A confidante is one who will always be there
One whose heart is open when he or she truly cares Never deceptive, hurtful, or hate-filled Only a listener and one who extends good will A confidante shares what is felt within, And doesn’t look down on one viewed as a friend He or she merits for worthiness and what’s just Doesn’t destroy one’s emotions or distrust A confidante is always there to lend a hand Never expecting anything in return or making demands I’ve found that and more in one unique friend We’re two souls united until time comes to an end This confidante’s spirit will live long after life Her soul lingering on to see him through his strife She gives him her all, has sworn to do so Even when death calls, she’ll never let go, For my confidante is cherished more than he’ll ever know.
