Judging Guidelines for Best of the Rest

First off, let me thank EVERYONE who has participated in some way or another in the "BEST OF THE REST" Contest. You've all helped to make the contest very successful.

This appendix is to help establish, a quick, easy, judging guide so everyone is looked at in a fair manner.

Judging will be based on the following:

Mechanics in the Introduction of the Forum- Max awarded 5

Is the grammar/puctuation perfect in the introduction? No mistakes? 5

Is there one or two typos? 4

Is there repeated words misspelled, yet with a copyedit for these mistakes could be fixed? 3

Mistakes too numerous to count - 1 or 2

Contest/Forum Rules - Max awarded 5

Judges, use this CRITERIA for raffles, forums, auctions, in & outs

Are the rules clearly stated? Easy to understand? 5

The rules are easy to understand, but there a few points I have questions about. 4

The rules are stated. 3

Are the rules vague? 1 or 2

Content - Max awarded 5

Judges, use this CRITERIA for campfires, interactives & Cnotes

Does the quality of the contents blow my socks off? (i.e. is the writing sharp? Crisp? Is the Cnote graphic and expressive?) - 5

The content was above average. I was intrigued by the topic and themes. The cnote collection was great. Graphics above average. 4

The content was appropriate to the topic. The cnote collection was appopriate. Graphics were average. 3

The content didn't hold my interest. The cnote collection was put together poorly. 1-2

Personal Points - Max awarded 5


As a whole, I thought this forum rocked! 5

It was a good, interesting, forum that was a little different from the rest. 4

It was okay. 3

It did not hold my interest 1 or 2.

When you return your final picks to me list the top 3 vote getters.

There are REWARDS for Judging!!

For those judges who return the above criteria to me, I'll assign you a number 1-5. Once I have everyone's criteria, I'll use the virtual dice to pick a number. That judge gets a Judging merit badge for the month.
