How I write a shrinking fantasy!

First off, everything below is my personal oppinion and is in no way correct or the general public oppinion.

Writing macrophilia stories isn't an easy task. I see too many on writing.com that are thrown together and never really go into the correct amount of detail.

One thing i hate though is Giantess and Growing stories. Yes, it would be fun to grow to being 200 feet tall. Should they make a movie about it (other than the dozen crappy ones that have been made.)? ABSOLUTELY! Do i want to read about it? No.

My interest is in the personal connection between a giant and its victim. I say victim because i personally don't like to read or write stories about a friendly giant. Once again, great thing to make movies about, it would be cool in real life, but i hate reading about it.

Indeed, there are two basic situations i like the most.

1. Giant (male or female) has no idea shrunk characters are trying to get his/her attention.

2. Playful giant (male or female) decides to have fun and dominate the shrunk character(s). This could be anywhere from basic bullying, to doing sexual acts (homosexual or heterosexual) or swallowing.

Both have thier strings of different situations.

1A: Giant is a friend and he is no aware of you.

1B: Giant is family member and he is not aware of you.

1C: Giant is a stranger and is not aware of you.

1D: Giant is somebody you know (though not a friend) and is not aware of you.

I could go into Male/Female, but thats not the point really. Each of those 4 are totally different. I will explain for you.

1A: Friends to you are casual people you hang out with, never really have any sexual relationships with. Usually this is of the same sex, and in the case of my story "Giant Friends", its both male and female (boyfriend and girlfriend is different, i will get to that later).

Whether you are climbing a friends shirt, dodging thier feet, in thier pocket, in thier hair, or anywhere else near them, its mesmorizing. Which gets to my first tip of the article.

TIP #1: The more the situation is from real life, the better. For instance, if a friend is currently walking around with 1 of his friends i his pocket, it would be more interesting if 5 of his friends were in his pocket. WHY? I can't really explain the details, but the idea of a friend not knowing 5 people of in his pocket, in concept is dominating and just plain more interesting. Who seems more dominate? i person that ran over a guy in his car, or a person that killed 5 of his friends by putting his shoes on (without even knowing)?

Giving your main character friends that are shrunk with them gives enough room for dialogue, more ideas and situations, and different ways of thinking. Indeed, i use all five of my main characters (after they all get shrunk to the same size) in Giant Friends as 1 big main character. This allows me to do different situations without it being awkward, weird or unrealistic for the reader.

In normal real life, you are your friends hang out on a daily/weekly basis, sitting next to each other, not really paying attentiont to the possibility of shrunk people being around you. Then suddenly, you are 4 of your friends are shrunk trying to get the attention of one of your friends, thousands of times taller than you, his small toe is the size of a minivan, and parts of his body, which normally you would consider weird getting near, could quite possibly dominate you, without the friend himself even knowing.

1B: Ah... your family. This also includes a girlfriend or boyfriend is well. Your family is the people you spend everyday with. You grew up with, you play with. You yell at, you cry with. What if your annoying little brother, the little brother you yell at to shut up or to stop doing something, suddenly was able to pick you up, play with you, crush you, all with the palm of his hand or the sole of his feet. What if you didn't even know you were there? While i know alot of people may not have a full family here, they atleast know a friend that does, which i why i kept the main characters family out of the picture in "Giant Friends". It is also pretty awkward for alot of people to think about that. Though they will get the same reaction (and a better reaction) if it was a friends family. It's just not as awkward anymore. I feel it keeps the same interest, but eliminates the awkwardness of the situation.

Another big thing, is being swallowed by your own family. What if you and your friends were stuck on a hot pizza, that your family (or a friends family) was about to go bezerkers over? All five of you are naked and have are 1/4 inch tall (crust is almost an inch thick). Your brother licks the pizza, with you and 4 of your friends, naked, you guys get licked up and swallowed. That's an interesting concept cause its a normally younger, smaller, less inteligent family member swallowing his older brother(s) and his/thier friends.

The girlfriend stuff, i pretty much covered in "Giant Friends". One thing thats the worst though, is being shrunk inside the condom on one of your best friends and being inserted into your own girlfriends vagina. Talk about the ULTIMATE humiliation. Indeed, none of the real humiliation involved you, but you were involved enough that it felt real, it felt humiliating, and it worked.

The giantess stuff, btw, i kept away from as much as possible. There is so much of it on the internet, that the concept is overblown and overused. It is just not interesting to write anymore. Feel free to add on to Giant Friends with Giantess material, since it still draws readers, but i can't write too much of it without getting bored and wishing it was real.

1C: Heres a quick one. A stranger is weird and awkward cause its nobody you know, and thus, the part of this thats great is the mystery. What if they find you? What if they don't? Will they care? Will they help? What will they do? What could happen?

1D: Somebody you know, but normally you don't get close to, this is mostly best done in Giantess stories, with your fantasy mate (somebody you love, but that really does not talk to you) being a giantess and you trying to get thier attention. It works because its interesting and different.

So, what about if they KNOW you were shrunk?

2A: They are your friends.

2B: They are your girlfriend/boyfriend.

2C: They are your enemy.

2D: They are your inferior in real-life.

2E: They are your family.

I will describe each one.

2A: One of the most interesting ones, this one is done to death in "Giant Friends" where two friends, Mike (18) and Alex (16), decide they will shrink Alex's older brother (only 3 years older), and his 2 friends (both 18). They decide to have fun with them and play around. Teens have fights with friends all the time where you wish you can show them whos boss, but you don't, because you do not want to hurt them.

BUT... what if you can shrink them? Then you can humiliate them without anyone getting seriously hurt or anything getting broken or (most of all) ANYBODY knowing about it.

What makes this work well, as well, is your characters are naked. Have you ever been naked infront of your friends (completely clothed)? It feels degrading (kind of like your friends opening the bathroom door while your changing) and humilating. Now imagine being naked and 1/2 of an inch tall. Then you just feel like a sex toy, a very small one.

Just because people have these sexual fantasies, does not mean they would like to have sex with thier friends in real life. It is a whole different situation when your friends are 1/2 an inch tall. It's no longer gay, its fun, its interesting and its degrading to them. When teens "tea-bag" (the process of putting your ball-sack on a friends face while they are asleep) thier friends while they are sleeping, its not because they want them to suck thier dick, or like having thier dick near a friends face. It's because its funny, degrading and interesting.

2B: usually this would involve an abusive relationship where the female strikes back by shrinking her boyfriend and starts sexually pleasing him, but in a "NO.. don't kill me" sort of way. Example: Placing shrunken boyfriend in sneaker/sock/nylon or in bra, or even pretending to eat him, such as licking his whole body or even to the point of inserting him into her vagina.

2C: This usually is a more aggressive version of 2A, where the enemy could care less about his victims. The giant will take more risks and wouldn't care about the stability of thier victim(s) life.

2D: Imagine being a senior in high-school and a sophmore finds you shrunk in the lockerroom at school. All the other sophmores look at you (and maybe a few of your friends) and toy with you. Like 2C, they won't care too much about your well-being, and its interesting cause the normally younger kids are dominating much older kids, which will probably lead to forcing sexual acts, maybe even between the shrunk teens, for good laughs.

2E: This is rare and is just weird. Usually this would be a younger-brother or sister that does not know any better and mistakes you for a toy. Nothing i would write, but its there and its possible. Though, this is done alot in "Giant Friends" when Alex, the 16 year old brother of Gary (19) dominates him by almost swalling him twice, putting him and 2 of his friends in his crotch and on his dick, having sex with him inside the condom he is wearing, licking him, and almost stepping on him purposely. The brother dominating you being 10 or 16 is a big difference, as the 10 year old is stupid, the 16 year old probably wants a measure of revenge for being the middle or younger child that gets bossed around.

10/17/06 Update: One thing i CANNOT stand when reading shrinking stories is how people mash sentences and paragraphs together like theres no tommorrow. Guys, i bet there is some AWESOME stories out there, and i bet you really know how to tell them, but for GOD SAKES, grammar, spelling and sentence/paragraph structure is just as important.

Just wanted to go into a rant there. Sorry if i came off angry. I am just trying to get across the point that alot of great stories are ruined because the writer forgets that how he presents his story is just as important as how it is written and the storyline itself.
