The Day You Walked Out
This poem I wrote to my husband after he walked out after 19 years of marriage.

I never thought there would come a day,
you would take to others and push your own away.
Never in a million years did I think your children would come last,
but since you have a new life;you want to forget your past.
Forget not only me,but your daughter and son too,
how can letting us go come so easy to you?
You say you havent changed, that you are the same,
then why do they come first;before the ones that bare your name?

Even your youngest daughter says how they get all of your attention,
your the only one who can change how she feels, its your decision.
It's not just a knew life you want, but a new family too,
your true colors are showing,I guess this is the real you.
You say your to sick to come and see our kids, you dont even try,
then I see you walking with her kids and her,so why do you lie?
Your just being selfish and only thinking of you,
dont you see our kids are the ones hurting by the things that you do?

Dont worry we wont interfere with you and your new family,
and you coming around only when you want is'nt good for our kids, you should agree.
So maybe it's better if you leave us alone and stay away,
hopefully one day you will realize the pain you put us through, when you walked out that day.
