Wildflowers
Sometimes you just need to stop, take in the moment, and breathe.

Show me
the wildflowers
stretching along the lane
Weaving long ribbons of color
Dappled in the shade of trees overhead
Dancing in the soft summer breeze
Reflecting simple grace
Blue chicory
Daisies
Black Eyed Susans
Delicate Queen Anne’s lace
All mingle and sway together
Welcoming butterflies and bumblebees
With their sunny upturned faces
In the warm fragrant air
Let me linger
And breathe
