A contemporary poem dedicated to the 'forgotten' victims.
         {Hush,} can you hear that?
         The screams and
         the cries and
         the moans...

Of those forgotten victims of us ---

"Between singed skins
and charred bones,
beneath rubbles
and cold stones,
we lie...
we die..."

...Chants of rotting bodies,
         songs of dying souls.
Requiem of the mourners,
         dirge of blackened bones...
                                       .
                                       .
                                       .
                             "Can you not see?
                             we're also victims here..."
