The Zoo

From my perch, the same ol' scene
he's tossing out the scraps again.
Like hyenas, they laugh in herds
and feast upon his carrion words.

Night after night, I drink the brew
and wonder why I come to this zoo.
The flies are gathering, I should go,
the bartenders jokes are getting old.
