................THE SCHOOL OF THE DAY AND THE DAY OF THE SCHOOL.............

The world in my hands .It always seems like I am the one who is doing so much. When I go to my school “Shri Guajarati Samaj Ajmera Mukesh Nemichand Bhai English Medium School”, I know it’s a long name but still it’s a very good school by infrastructure and richness. So its waking up in the morning and reaching school on time at 9:00 or before via cycle express and assembly starts after then followed by vande mataram then a usual prayer for god after which a couple of news readings, thought of the day, any speech or special announcements if any .In the end of course the National Anthem, Jana gana mana”, and so we go to our respective classes in a height wise line with a specific pattern, along with the regular uniform check as a formality by the prefects and house captains of the school. I didn’t wear my house batch today so I just had to take 3 rounds of the assembly ground as a punishment and then go to the class.
Oh! Man this start was so tiresome and tedious that how am I going to suffer the school for the rest of my day. My first period in school, the class teacher which is my English teacher, shamli mam came into the class and all the students stood up, ”good morning mam”, in a chorus,” good morning, sit down”, said shamli mam followed by the regular attendance check, ”arpan”, yes mam “arpit garg”, present mam and every one replying something specific, like either yes mam or present mam or only present, so the first thing which came into my mind, “ok! Now what shall I say, hmm I should say something, which sounds different but not odd and other students notice especially the girls who are sitting in the neighboring two rows. Oh! Yes, obviously the most common pattern of any class consisting of four rows, two of girls and two of boys, man I miss those 6th 7th class days when one boy and girl each were suppose to sit compulsorily together, but at that time we use to feel shy and I use to sit with “Anjali”, oh! Yes was I lucky……….” And suddenly my number for the attendance, “Suhit Gosain”, said the mam and me “…” thinking the same, “hey Sui, your attendance man, its missed”, my classmates alerting me in a cool sarcastic way and my mam, “Suhit Gosain, is he present”? “Yes mam, yes mam I am present, “were you sleeping in the class or what, remain attentive”! Oh! Boy and the impression went down to the drain, hey obviously not in front of the teacher, I mean the girls sitting in the same usual neighboring two rows. My eye went all over the class, looking at anjali and she was laughing but no big deal because everyone was laughing hah!
Wow! A perfect start for the day, now what can be worse, “take out your English workbooks page 27 and submit your homework copies here on my table and those who has not brought the workbook stand up and those with no homework get out of the class”, said the mam. And of course me as “hey thank god at least I have brought my workbook and as far as homework is considered, no problem I am the writer of the book “101 reasons for incomplete homework” so … hey wait a sec! Where is my workbook, it was right here”, and a flashback, “punnuuuuuu”, of course my mom in her normal long loud tone, “come down and have your milk fast” and me in a hurry forgetting my workbook on my study table below my book rack next to my skate board in front of my bed inside my comic books and of course within my lovely messy cool room. Back from the flashback, “Suhit Gosain, again in your dream world, where is your home work, c’mon show me yours”, said my mam and the same me, “Yes mam actually I forgot my workbook”, “workbook? I was asking about your homework”, she said and me like “shit man what did I say”, “get out of the class and give me your dairy”, she asked and opened my dairy, ‘the teachers to parents section’ or may I say “the complaining section” which was already almost full and few space left to add any new. She wrote, “homework incomplete, please pay attention” and send me to stand outside the class but no big deal because approximately 13 to 16 boys and girls were there to accompany me. But we were not supposed to just stand outside but complete our homework on pages.
Hey it’s me standing outside the class and thinking again because oh c’mon who will complete this silly homework of no use man, “Now that’s the limit, I mean what can be worse. I come as an upper average student in the class and not any dumb fellow who keeps on failing in the exams. I never fail, yeah but sometimes on the boundary but not fail at least. I am standing outside, so what I am an outstanding boy….” And the principal Ms Anju Chopra on the round, “oh shit man, that chopra’s on the round and if she gets us we may get into big trouble”, said the other students standing outside with me. ‘Nothing will happen’, that’s my point of view but the other students sometimes force you to feel a bit nervous but I never feel nervous but these students make you hyper but I am cool but yeah sometimes and only sometimes, yeah they force you to feel nervous but only a bit ok because I am brave for sure but there is nothing I can do with these students so yeah sometimes, “ok cut the crap”. The principal went off and nothing happened, we were saved this time.
Bell rang and the call for “next period”. Its math’s by our strict Abhyankar sir and as math teachers are always suppose to be strict but believe me this Abhyankar sir were really very bhayankar. He was the biggest terror of all the students and use to hit students like hell. Well I can write a whole book on how strict he was so I will stop here but one thing I will definitely say that he was also very intelligent and extremely talented and had good leadership skills. After four such periods including social studies Vandana mam and Sanskrit period finally we have the “games period” and off to the ground. This is the only period for which I come to school, no actually I come to school everyday for sincere studies, hah ok obviously I come to school everyday because my mom force me like hell to do so. Anyways, shifting from the root topic, what was it? , ah! Yes the games period. It’s like heaven reaching the ground and basically I have always been an athlete so I act active and fast with good reflexes and so I lead in games like “Gadha mar” or any game with the requirement of good reflexes but cricket was the only game which was my weakness. I cannot play cricket but only can do good fielding but its so boring doing fielding all the time at the boundary so I hate this game to play. A nice time with Gadha mar and the 40 min long games period was over and so the bell rang for lunch time so off to the mess.
If you believe then our school has one of the best cuisines in Indore. According to the students of Indore our school ranks for the second best food given in schools. Obviously the first rank is for “Daly College”, it’s not a college but it’s a school basically and extremely rich. This school was built around 200 yrs ago by the britishers for their children to study there and so It’s a highly expensive school and only rich students study there. But our school is no less in food. Since it’s a Guajarati school so they put a slight hint of sweet in every item so it becomes a plus point during food fights, no actually there are no food fights and never happened. We always wanted to do one but realized that it’s filmy and not practical. We have a mam for nutrition and dietetics so she plans food accordingly and we get varying items every day. When ever there is a turn for any specific fruit like oranges or apples or especially grapes we prepare ourselves to attack like animals but with a discipline since the discipline guards are all over but if by chance there is something awful which it rarely happens then we are forced to finish everything by the guards and that turns out to be a disaster. But hey, today is Saturday and every Saturday there comes a feast with all delicious finger eating dishes like this time its Pav Bhaji along with that some Guajarati besan item which is really good and unlimited fruit custard as a desert like wow!
Two more periods to survive for and those are science and the most boring but easy “Hindi”. Science period is not a problem because our science mam, Renu mam is the best. She keeps telling us stories and always shifts away from the root topic into a semi fiction story.
Alas! The last period, oh! No the Hindi period. Yadav mam came inside, we wished her, she sat and said, “Take out your workbooks and submit your homework copies here”, shit that was like a rewind show or a same movie both dubbed in English and Hindi and me, “oh! Thank god at least this time I have brought my Hindi workbook and here it is”, found my workbook this time but no homework. This period was not that bad I had to stand but within the class this time with around other 17 to 19 students having incomplete homework and a small remark in the dairy. Hey! Two remarks for the day and only 3 punishments are not that bad man like I am improving. Another tedious day is almost over. I don’t have any specific group in the school but yeah some good friends like Suyash and Nishant are there and I don’t need more because majority of my friends are not from school but from my colony.
Bell rang for the end of the last subject period and now is the zero period, a sort of games period but not specific for a class but is for the whole school all together in the big ground playing and hanging out all the time BUT SHIT, today is Saturday so it’s the white dress day. No I don’t mean that it’s the white dress so we can’t spoil it by playing, I mean that it’s the PT. I have been in school since so long but I still I do not know the full form of PT and I just know that we do identical exercises as a pattern in it. If you know that what is the full form of PT then please write it to me at suhit.gosain@yahoo.com. Well a bit of exercise and bell rang finally for the end of the day at school. Everyone went towards their respective busses, as there is a fleet of around 42 busses but I live near by my school and I do have a return ticket to my home via cycle express so I will catch that one. As usual, me along with Nishant on our respective cycles (we had the same atlas cycles) went off and split in different directions to our respective homes after a distance from the school.

So this was not that bad, it’s a nice school and this was one of my regular days in the school. This is the way my life is, well not exactly because there is much more exciting, weird and some abnormal and exceptional stuff to tell which always happens with me exceptionally in the class but this was a regular day I can say. This school created a bulk of confidence and enthusiasm in me. I learnt confidence and gained it slowly after tackling the hard situations with students and teachers in school. And so I love my school.
