You
Just a poem I wrote for a school project.

You
As bitterness consumes you
I have but one last thought
Only the strong survive here
While the weak merely are caught

Why is this world like that
Being forced to live or die
Sometimes I can hear you screaming
Giving out an endless cry

Its silent as a whisper
Communicated not by mouth
But by the eyes an touch and heart
You’re suffering so much now

You’re not weak at all though
To take so much your stronger then me
Its hidden right below my nose
That even though I’m weaker you’re below my feet

The choice is mine to make now
The inner war between wrong and right
Do I do what’s right or easy
My seams are coming undone

I pull myself together
And I know they haven’t won
As strong as you? I don’t know
But I’m stepping in the ring

To stop their endless torture
And minister to your burning needs.

I can help you now
I have made the right choice
You’re free from bondage now
And I myself am stronger then before

And the better for it
