|Ahh October; the best month of the year.
I was born in the Spring and the love of my life was born in the Summer. But, still I cannot escape that October remains my favorite monthof the year.
It is what happens in Nature and the civilized environment around me that seem to spur on this feeling.
Every October I fall in love all over again with the colors, mustard, orange and brown.
I love the sound of the wind on the trees. And the sound of the dry leaves crunching under my feet.
The air is crisp and I long to be at home with some kind of warm fruit-filled pastry.
I get the urge to buy many, many pumpkins and put them all over my front porch. This is both for my own satisfaction and to show everyone who passes by that I love this time of the year.
Cinnamon, Vanilla and Apple Crisp scented candles seduce me.
Every way I turn the trees offer up beautiful ideas for paintings and make me feel special to view them.
I think of soup and movies and starting to get dark earlier and feel cozy inside.
I dream of stretching out on the couch with comfort food in front of the t.v. Hoping to see live news footage of a storm approaching, while I am in my cozy home. (I don't wish harm to anyone)
I think of hunkering down on the carpet, in front of the heater, with a bowl of squash soup and a big chunk of sourdough french bread and I think that I am the luckiest person in the world.
I think of kids in costumes and candy and carnivals and Norman Rockwell.
I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!!!!
