Cherry Pie

Beautiful cherry pie.
Red
Berries in flaky pastry.
Warm,
Just out of the oven.
Served with cool vanilla ice cream on the side,
A treat,
Simple to make, wonderful to eat.
You can keep your apple,
Pumpkin, coconut cream,
Or pies piled with meringue.
I’ll take tart red cherry pie any time.
My fork is ready, and my mouth is watering.
I just can’t wait to taste it.
Cut me a slice now while it’s still warm,
Glorious cherry pie.
