When I was young
I made a wish that time would go faster and so it did. Days I counted weeks went by looking back I wonder where they went. The years slipped by, I hardly noticed, now they're all gone and what have I to show for it? One wish came true crushing so many others time lost will never be regained hold on as I might it keeps slipping and I'm at a loss, unable to keep up. Wish as I may now, it cannot be undone. I can only pray, the years don't fly away leaving me stranded, completely alone, wondering what else I could have done if I had wished instead for time to stand still.
