ABC of Life (and Death)
Found this in a folder from my high school years. I like it.

Already asked,
         but by begging bitterly-
(can't cry) could
         despair destroy?

Evidently; even
friends find foolish fun
         giving grievious
         hurts. Heavy heart
injured irreparably-
         jabbed jokingly-
                   kindness killed.

Love lost;
         maiming mind-
         naked noose
offering ode of
         private persecution.

Quivering quietude-
         repose, retreat rapidly.
Somehow sadness (silent sun) sends
         tears to the tumbling turmoil
                   (unreachable unknown) urging utter uselessness.

Vain victory vanishes-
         weeping with weary whispers- why?

Years yield yet
         zealessly.
