"Enchanted Visions"
I sat on my front porch and heard the chimes and birds sing a joint melody.

Enchanted Visions

Little chimes ring with their ding a ling.
Providing music for all the birds to sing.
The chimes and birds play a joint melody.
The wind blows there in perfect harmony.

I sit and listen on my porch to serenade.
Is music playing for my ears only today?
In my fulfillment my thoughts fade away.
I succumb to sleep in the light of the day.

In my sleep I see visions from my past.
I am bewildered as to what they forecast.
Loved ones who have succumb to death.
Good friends who've taken a last breath.

I awaken to the lullaby still playing for me.
The chimes on porch and birds in the tree.
I ponder to the sound this music so sweet.
The visions I saw, what they mean to me.

Are they premonitions of what is to come?
Sent from God my work on earth is done.
I'm ready to cross when He takes my hand.
Until then I'll listen to this music so grand.
