A PLANE TO NOWHERE Trapped inside a body that has been ravaged by age, watching and waiting for something; turn another page and somewhere find the solitude that eludes my soul, to breathe the air of quietness is now my only goal. The world offers me little comfort as I flounder in the sea with memories of joy and tears, and the freedom to be me is sorely lacking, once more I am constricted by the pain; I long to break the bonds of earth, a free spirit once again. I'll take a plane to nowhere, no destination yet in mind, Somehow I will not forget the ones that I've left behind. A one way ticket in my hand and a smile upon my face as I very quickly fall asleep, traveling to a better place. The sands of time keep shifting and the end is in sight, I've found another place to dwell, bathed in bright light. I feel no pain and touch my face, once wrinkled with age, my gnarled hands are smooth again; turn another page. Oh, do not weep above my grave, for I do not lie there, I took a flight we all must take, on a plane to nowhere. Countrymom 8/20/06 .
