The Name of My Heartache
And yet we hope to love again...

So, tell me forbidding heartache,
(Whom I have purchased too many a time at a cost far too dear)
Now what is your name?
Is it Tim?
Is it Darby?
Is it Curt?
Is it Jason this time?
Or, is it Alan yet again?
Or, is it a new name… one I have yet to hear
That will lead me down those twisted steps to the bowels of your dungeon
To have it whispered in my ear…
And will you chain me to my passions there
To let me rot from my desires?
While you use then discard me
As did all the others?
Then hurry! Quickly! Come to me!
And let me see the face of my new captor!
So that I may purchase, on borrowed funds,
At a price far too great,
The name that I will come to know as my next heartache.
