Forgotten
The perspective of a gargoyle, perched atop one of Europe's cathedrals.

For so long I watched in silence
Forsaken and forlorn in the backdrop of eternity
Watching endlessly over nameless souls
Finding condolence in the rhythmic toll of the bells

For so long thought as nothing
An ornamental masterpiece forever captive
In the cold and solid grasp of stone
Cursed to remain in timeless state of solitude

For so long cast aside
Denied a chance of freedom
Joined only by the words on the listless wind
Of sinners come to confess their failings
