Moonlight Romance

My love plays where the moonlight stays,
I watch her by her castle often,
For no one else does my soul so soften.
Waving to her past my lantern light,
hoping that her heart with mine will take flight.

I can’t stop wishing by these silver beams
that I may appear to her within passionate dreams.

She does not know I watch her so,
Perhaps it's best this way
We both know love is a waste of time,
Energy stolen from what could be applied.

I am the sun scorching everything in it’s path,
She is the moon cooling the sun’s wrath,
In time passed I loved the sun so much more,
now the moon I will forever adore.
