Bye Bye
By
MJM jr.

Moving fast and leaning out
Your life is traveling without a doubt
At the speed of light with no stop signs, no yellow lights to slow the ride
Brick walls and forks are all you find

Bye bye to you and me
Suppress the memories and spare the greed
Grasp the future inside the need
Forget the want and embrace the plea

Bye bye to us
Bye bye we're free
Bye bye to union
Hello to me

Point the tongue and brace for the display
Its actions not words, which show you’re afraid
I cannot keep fighting this feeling of fear in my head
You whisper the truth, I pretend not to hear

Bye bye to us
Bye bye we're free
Bye bye to union
Hello to me

Give me a double shot of self-esteem
Complete with an all-encompassing dream
Deliver me from this pit full of spite
Relentless and doubting
I consistently fight

Bye bye to us
Hello to me
