Last night I had a dream
(I dream most every night) in which I was granted a single wish and put the world to rights. easy to do when you're dreaming I took away the local buses (always late, never a space) and planted a public hoverway, on which we hopped with grace. so much better for the environment than cars I tore down all the council flats and built mansions big and tall. Then I gave the starving lots of food and made the mountains small. so that we could hop over them more easily I took away all pain and suffering, filled the world with music pure. I improved water purification to keep pollution from our shores. makes swimming in the sea more pleasant The world became a beauteous place as I changed it for the better. No more anguish, no more waste, no more getting wet in the rain at a bus stop. isn't that an awful experience? Alas, when I awoke I found it was a dream but the memory clung to my mind. But every river starts as a stream, and together we could make it true. perhaps not shrinking the mountains So join me in dreaming and one day we might be able to change the world. We'll watch the children safe at play and know that our dreams made them safe. or is that just an excuse to sleep?
