My Second Coming

By Jaxson Washington aka Mike Jr.

Rock n Roll
Collects my soul
The smell of oil from the lamp that lights my way

The path of life
A stressful flight
I fight the gift of restful sleep

Forgotten treasures replace my simple pleasures
The shadows comfort
My distress is measured

For she is the light that guides my flight
Towards this path of self-destruction

Rock n Roll
Collects my soul
She is all I ever wanted

The smell of jasmine
And sadness strengthen
The tragic end of my second coming
