A Giant Among Us

By Jaxson Washington aka MJMJR

She never could say what she felt
Silence on the gatekeeper’s leash

A million things on her mind
But ohly one reason she doesn't speak

There’s a giant here among us
As she cries herself to sleep

A sliver of light erases the darkness
A sliver of light that’s hers to keep

Who is this Giant among us?
Who is this keeper of my leash?

It’s the suddenness of depression
And the everlasting presence of peace
