Weight Uplifted
A poem about a lawsuit that has just recently ended after four years.

For years you were
the burden that tormented
my life.

Making me live in
a world where
dreams seemed far
from my grasp.

A prayer was answered,
God shined his light.

Now, I stand
assured, my dreams
in the light.

The burden is over
and the weight
uplifted
