Sweet and Bitter Warmth
Poem exploring the warmth of memories.

Sweet, melted chocolate
That's what warmth tastes like
With a small dab of honey
Measured just right

Chirping morning birds
That's what warmth sounds like
Soft, lovely music played
By the candle-light

Soft, silky petals
That's what warmth feels like
A feather-stuffed sleeping bag
For the night

The windy, golden meadow
That's what warmth looks like
A warm camp fire
To light the night

A fresh-baked apple pie
That's what warmth smells like
The burnt, loving breakfast
That didn't turn out quite right
