THE GUTTERS
September 4, 2006 It’s one of those days when the sky’s fallen and you can’t take a step without splashing some sadness on your pants and soaking your shoes and you’re forced to stroll down stratus-grey streets where memories are snagged leaves in saturated gutters. It’s one of those days when everything hangs and smears together so you can’t tell your feet from the sky or your head from the ground and you’re compelled to weep with the rain where it catches memories like litter down the over-flowing gutters.
