A Vampire’s Trance ***** As I walk through the dark and empty streets under the bright full moon I hear the deafening shrill of cries I glance up at the moon as it turns a deep dark maroon I watch as it turns right before my eyes ***** Chills creep up my back I’m thinking this can’t be right The hair stands up on the back of my neck Before my eyes is an evil sight ***** I stare before me Standing in the dark earie shadows is a vampire No, this can’t be The damp fog begins to rise higher ***** I stumble through the darkness as I blunder There is nothing to be found, not even a light A deep trance I begin to fall under A trance as dark as midnight ***** This can’t be happening; it’s all lies I know it will have me soon Everything begins to fade away like when one dies Then I fall unconscious into the deep dark lagoon *****
