Cloak of Anger
Part of a series of poems written after finding my love dead from unknown heart disease.

Anger drives
Drives away fear
Drives away the unknown
Becomes a friend and comforter
The invisibility I feel
I know to be truth
Loses power with Anger at my side

My skin no longer cold
Warmed by blood pulsing
This silence pervading my existence
Squelched by the roar in my head

The breath, my breath
Captured in my chest
My muscles ache
Confusion, sadness prevail
But only for a moment
And the relief of Rage returns
Floods through me in a baptizing river

This is my world.
