For my Daughters

Your Daddy's a hero in a far away place,
loving and missing your beautiful face.
The angels are watching him everyday,
because every night for his safety we pray.
Even though he had to go,
He just wants you to know:
That he loves you every day,
and knows you wish that he could stay.
And even though he could not,
All the times are not forgot,
That he gave you goodnight kisses,
and all the smiles that he misses.
The way he watched you grow and grow,
The last time he got to say hello,
All the times you laughed together,
and played outside in gorgeous weather.
Just this morning your daddy told me,
that he missed his little baby.
He loves you more than you can know,
even though he had to go.
Everyday your in his mind,
and someday soon you will find,
Your daddy coming home to you,
And on that day a single hug just will not do.
He'll shower you with so much love,
Because you're all he ever thinks of.
Every night when you go to bed,
and bedtime stories have been read,
a single hug and kiss is not enough,
and your tired of being tough.
Let me hold you in my arms,
and tell you stories of daddy's charms.
And I'll remind you i miss him too,
and sometimes it makes me a little blue.
We both love Daddy and miss him silly,
But he'll be home soon, really. Really
