What I Like Most About Halloween

When I think of Halloween, I think of pumpkins on the porch of a house or in the fields. I think of black cats and how sweet they are. I think a black cat, by a big bright orange pumpkin or one that is carved with a silly look on it's face makes for a cute picture. I also love a picture of a witch with her black cat. What witch picture isn't complete without a black cat and a pumpkin?

There are children, little girls at Halloween dressed up like witches, Princesses, like the Disney Ones of Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Some little boys will be dressed up like Superman, Batman and Star War characters. Lucky them as they get all the delicious Halloween candy especially chocolate. When you are Diabetic like me, my sweets are limited. Such is life.

Oh! Don't you love seeing scarecrows at Halloween and the autumn leaves changing colors? I forgot to mention that I love white pumpkins. They look so neat along side of orange pumpkins. Sometimes, at Halloween, it rains. What a downer! I love seeing fog and mist in the corn field and it looks so pretty, well maybe a little eerie.

How do you decorate your house at Halloween? I put orange and white pumpkins, not carved, outside by the house. Inside, I have a Halloween tablecloth on the table with black cats, pumpkins and scarecrows. One is in navy blue and has witches hats and pumpkins on it. I have a porcelain Halloween house with scarecrows, black cats and pumpkins on it. I also have stuffed black cats sitting out. I can't forget my ceramic green female M&M figurine dressed like a witch, with her porcelain house. I have my porcelain pumpkin that I also display. So, this is my house at Halloween.

Another neat thing to see are pictures in Country Living magazine of Victorian houses in New England all decorated for Halloween. There are orange and white pumpkins inside the house and outside. Some have neat ghost, vampire, witches and black cats on display. Bake a cake that looks like a pumpkin with orange frosting and cookies shaped like black cats, bats, witches and pumpkins and you have some delicious Halloween treats. Halloween. This holiday and Christmas were just made for writers to feed their imaginations with things to write about. Don't forget shows like "Dark Shadows", "The Munsters", "The Addams Family", "Dracula" and the werewolf are just made for the spooky Halloween Holiday.
