EYE
...Am blind, but see an end far beyond,
where the beginning of the primordial
porridge lost its meaning, yet came to be.
...Have seen men gather before me
in shining armor to meet death at my feet.

Dust to dust...dust to dust.

Here, where kings unearthed,
are robbed of their treasure,
and of long sleep's pleasure.
...Am deaf but hear the whispering
of the green earth clinging
to a time before the golden sand.

...am alone, and grains of earth
sting at eyes once washed by rain,
now wracked with the pain of secrets within.
...am the star on the horizon,
that brought so much promise
to this ungrateful place now destroyed.

Dust to dust...dust to dust.

I wish I had a mirror,
to light the darkness of the new beginning.
