Resonance

These feelings they linger
In the back alleys of my mind
They unabated reside with melancholy
Though the windows of my soul I see
Ineffable destiny faltering and waiting for me

What is it to love? Have I done so in totality?
But these feelings carry no understanding
And my mortal mind lies in anguish
Because through the window seems far away
And the sun won’t shine on the other side

The coldness hits me,a brick to the bone
God does make us resilient and hard
But these sinews grow heavy with the winds echo
Ulcerating hope into shattered dreams
But life and love follow different designs

When these feelings with profuse sadness
Begin to flaunt their nefarious edge
The Lords stockade brings me comfort
Takes me to where the air is filled with lavender
Then through the window is not so far away.
