Perfect Moment

I remember the moment we stepped on the dance floor,
as if it were yesterday.
The song that was playing,
was the perfect song for the moment.
The song that was playing
was "Moment Like This."
And since then,
that song has meant more to me than it ever had before.
You see it was the perfect song
for that perfect moment.
There I was
on the dance floor with the guy I liked.
It was the first slow dance for me,
and I'm glad it was to that song.
What better song to be the first dance,
than one that described just how I was feeling.
Because for me
it was certainly a time I waited my whole life for.
But that wasn't the end of it,
no another song came on at the perfect moment.
Towards the end of the night,
"Take My Breath Away" came on.
The shock that came over me,
was not only because it was my favorite singer.
But because it fits
just how I feel about this guy.
He is the one who takes my breath away,
which is why that was another perfect song for the perfect moment.
