To End A Nightmare

Stuck in a dream that would never end
Each attempt to escape has failed
My hands tear at walls of fabric that refuse to yield
Not wanting to give up to this phantom world
I keep trying to pull myself out

Stuck in a dream of physical pain
Intense pressure from invisible hands that press
Upon my pelvis then move to my throat, choking
I attempt to fight back digging fingernails into invisible flesh
Yet the more I fight, the more pain I must endure
Soon I will be too weak to escape

Stuck in a dream waiting for a rescuer that never arrives
There is no hero, at least not this time
Recollections of a dream where I was able to escape remain
Just giving in to the light protected me then
But this time as I try to recall the exact method it fails
Even the light has given up against this phantom
What once had been victory is now marked as defeat

Stuck in a dream for what will be an eternity
Left behind within an abyss of the dream realm
Continually will I be forced, unable to protest
Violations against the etherealness of my self
From the shadowed phantom created within the mind
Creator is self yet it seems as if this being was not from me

Stuck in a dream that can only be the slumber of Hell
There is now only one more option, one way out
Unable to master ability to leave instead I find hidden control
Filling the space, a sort of bedroom dark and dreary,
Water from the corner of the nonexistent carpet
Till it reaches the black-white corner of the ceiling
No air left to breathe
Even though I will never wake up
In dying I have found the way out
