Magic Sight
An uplifting, otherwordly journey

One night they came to me
Calm clear water on the raging sea
Beings from beyond the stars
Bright movement, color and perception
Meaning without analysis, joy's reflection
Come to show the way things are
The good I never knew to be

Slender white hands reaching down
A knowing smile for every frown
Up through mist and rain and snow
Past where shadow glosses swirl
And clouds like magic carpets twirl
And auras of auroras glow
In the midst of God's starry crown

On the breath of silvry wings
Caught up in song the angel sings
Happiness like golden lace
Strung from near to far-off point
Seen by the one that they anoint
The mortal to whom they give the grace
To hear the bell that chimes and rings

And defeats the darkling tower
Frees the shades, the wraiths that cower
Slaves of dread and dream and swoon
Soaring onward, never to tire
Soon as lost souls are touched with crystal fire
Neath the shining radiance of the moon
Where all delights are brought to flower

And farther still, where lightnings simmer
And planets whirl, and galaxies shimmer
They took me to the edge of night
The high ones showed me one thing more
A glimpse of the spectacular door
Where evening mixes with the light
And faerie enchantments glimmer

And now I'm back on earth and try
To relive the mystery of the sky
And hear the music of the thunder
And remember the way I saw them dance
As they cast their spells of awe and trance
Forever changed, I see the vivid images and wonder
Of all they could bless they chose me--why?
