She lies lifeless across the ballroom floor Love pouring from her veins I'm compelled to walk out the door For I never knew her name Oblivious was I to the signs As if I even bothered to look Walking away would be such a crime To the very sight of her I shook My hands against her face I hold Yet still I feel no breath Her body feels so cold Why was she claimed by death? Was she treated badly? Or did she just want to dance? Her body lies so sadly If only I had given her the chance
