Magic Kiss
Remember the magic Of true love’s first kiss? Remember the feeling Of innocent bliss? Your fingertips tingle; Your cheeks start to blush; Your heartbeat’s aflutter; You feel your blood rush. And after he leaves you You’re walking on air. You take a breath deeply, “It’s love!” you declare. You can’t eat at mealtime; You can’t sleep at night; Your mother is worried If you feel all right. It’s been many years now Since I felt that joy. Effects of the kisses Of one teenage boy. But I do remember And it makes me smile. That magic kiss lets me Feel young for a while.
