I am one grain of sand among a thousand exactly like me. I can not imagine being anything more important. I decide to try and find my place in the world. I am waiting for the tide to take me. It is coming, pulling me out and spinning me in a free fall liquid atmosphere. I see below me a flat headed fish rise from the sand to catch it’s dinner. It made me smile. Without the sand to help it hide, it might still be going hungry. I see a cousin of mine being swallowed by an oyster. This doesn’t make me sad, it makes me remember something I heard before. Oysters take us into their shells and turn us into something called a pearl. Pearls are very precious. My time in the sea comes to an end as I am pushed back onto the beach. I see feet running along, leaving behind their impressions that the tide will soon erase away. Fingers are stroking through other areas, writing messages of love and salutations. I am one grain of sand among a thousand exactly me. I can not imagine being anything more important.
