Promise
When we were little we use to always go everywhere together.We promised each other we'd always be together.All through elementary and middle school we were always together.In high school we were crowned king and queen at every dance and even at the prom.It's right after graduation as we're driving home a car plows into us.As we're laying there we make the same promise we made the same promise we made all those years ago.We hold each other close as we slowly die.I remember all the things we did together and all the promises.As my life slips away I hold on to you so tightly.And quietly whisper,"I love you!"
