BEGINNINGS

I see this a a chance for a new beginning
a new start to this young mans life
can there be hope at the end after all
am I to be saved after all that has happened

With new opprtunities turning positive
changing this dark sky to that of blue
clearing the rain and bringing new life
anticipation growing with each day

With so much that has happened before
has it finally become the past
can I now put it all behind me
and start living in the present

If this is all true and sincere
then not only shall I be well
but I will also be emotionally stable
after so long trying to battle with the past
