MAINTENANCE MANS PRAYER Oh deliver me from hot steam pipes and operators with silly gripes from old and worn out broken presses shorted switches and greasy messes from ground up bearings and leaky valves adjusting rails and broken shelves from sewing machines that must be timed adjusting screws you just can’t find maintenance books without a picture and the wrong bulbs for a new light fixture from those who think antiques should run how do I repair what time has done from new we order that comes in old the best to be done is what we’re told from those who know how it’s done on paper but really know nothing you find out later from all those things that just must be like weekend work others don’t see parts that are ordered but not to be had the work isn’t done and we look bad above all these things I do pray to hold my temper one more day Monty
