Fixtures of haze dilute my visions as I dwell in this melancholy maze, preventing me from making decisions. I'm unable to tell my nights from days. You stole the midnight stars and fled, Leaving thoughts in my head to bleed. Through this cage I'm now seeing red filled with an anger that won't recede. You stripped the pure petals off of me, branded me with the dirt of your hands, watched my heart drown in the salty sea only to wash up withered on the sands. (written for "Rip My Heart Out Contest"
