Our Forests Beyond my enchanting forest of green of gentle breezes, warm sun, waterfalls a great wall appears I dare to peek between the stones A strange forest assails my vision How can it be? trees made of steel leaves, of thorns fruits, of hopeless faces and shattered dreams I find you there our eyes meet I give you my hand a flicker of hope in your smile a whole realm of fantasy in your eyes return where they once resided in your handsome face I give you my voice and my hand "Come fly with me." I offer "My angel," you whisper "Your friend," I say You reach out but our hands do not touch You move to come closer but the chains lock your feet frozen I feel your soul drenched with despair I feel your heart losing its last beats of freedom Tears of pearls fall from the sky
