Abandoned by life,
She was left all alone; A daughter, a mother and wife, Exemplary love in all positions she had shown. How could you forget her sleepless nights? The ones she spent by your bedside; Your burning forehead became her heart, Until with her care your fever chose to depart. You called her mother, but left her alone, Left her eyes moist and her heart torn; In her hug you found safety from all fears, Now you find solace in her tears? Do you hear her quivering voice resound in her empty house? Do you see her old self seeking you all around? Do you understand her love which has not grown old? Can you measure the love a mother's heart can hold? On a day very special she dropped dead, Did you hear her calling out your name in your head? You returned when the oyster of life had lost its pearl, You came back at you mother's funeral. You called her mother, but left her all alone, Left her eyes moist and her heart torn; In her hug you found safety from all fears, Now you find solace in her tears?
