Nilbog : The Compassionate Goblin
Children! Listen to my pleadings. Being a Goblin is not simple. Hold your tongue; stem the teasing And espy my smiling dimple. By chance, Nilbog is my name. Look! Beneath the mushroom I huddle, my bent frame Awaits my divine fate or doom. Children! Open your hearts, Bestow mercy on this grotesque beast. Today, fair kindness starts A new, friendlier, Halloween feast.
